At first, I thought that it might be an SEO tactic. After all, as in your example, "shell jacket" is looked for much more than "nylon jacket" (meh, google trends won't let me copy and paste, but whatever, you can do it yourself). However, who, other than the Brits, ever use the term "gilet"?

So, maybe it's a mixture of "data driven decision making" combined with incredible dumbity? BTW, using good SEO terms in things like thread titles, articles titles, is a good idea. Sometimes it's not as poetic, or whatever, but it is much more likely to be found and read and get people involved, which is really what we want. So I won't knock that on principle. But it does lead to some pretty silly practices.

I thought it was because the average unknowledgeable consumer might think negatively of nylon because it's largely considered "cheap", so the term shell might be a bit more... safe?

Isn't Will Fry the guy with all the printed stuff ? I guess moving into the quality basics business is a shift toward sophistication. I feel like one John Elliot is more than enough but hey it looks like that market is still not completely over saturated so...

ARW, can't shake the feeling that Xander Zhou is just too obsessed with Raf Simons for his own good.

And for all this talk about democratization, it's always surprising how unstuffy some of those old shows are compared to the circus of today.

Any US stockists for the skincare/cosmetic products? IIRC South Willard used to carry it, but I can't seem to find it on the site.

While we're at it... Susan Kauffmann is best ordered directly shipped from the EU?

Was gonna say that it's a cool stylistic / presentation choice, and that clicking the links would obviously lead to stock photos.

    No stock photos.

Neighbour and Unionmade also stocked it in the past, but I don't see anything up now. Maybe they will get deliveries later.

MDC in europe has it and delivers world-wide. Modern anthology in brooklyn has it.

There wlll be more, I can let you know when I find out who picked it up for sure. Everyone who has seen samples (which, by the way, are 50% size of the actual product--insane, and a very Frank thing to do) have been extremely impressed.

Lol. (Though in all fairness, continuously could work if he was writing with with purposeful exaggeration in mind.)

That might have been a better option, but if they continually make specific mistakes, I think the overarching "demonstration" of misuse can fairly be said to be continuous, even without taking poetic license. Then again, I suppose they do use "tactile" in a way that makes sense once in a while.
