I think that it's a great way of deciding between choices A, B, and C, where all three are equal in other ways, but I think that the problem really is that there are too many unknown unknowns, to paraphrase someone who was very bright and not known to be particularly friendly. Even with all the data in the world, Data scientists need to focus on specific parts of the data, need to decide what should and can be measured, and need to create metrics that accurately measure these things. My experience with so-called data scientists, who are generally really engineers who know how to use some data analysis tools, is that they become so enamored of these tools that they shelve critical thinking. It's not always the case, of course, but I've seen lots of this in action. I would love to see some good literature about this issue, if you can find it. I haven't had access to Web of Science or any other such database for a few years now.

Has anybody ever used a shoe stretching spray? Seems like there are a number of them, I have a pair of pebbled leather and suede creepers that are .5-1 size too tight, mostly in width and I never really wear them. I'm wondering if there is any legitimacy to them, Amazon reviews all seem to suggest it works.

I've gotten my shoes stretched for cheaper, and know that works.

The sprays are only like $9, I figured that would be way cheaper than a cobbler or even a shoe tree stretcher thing.

FWIW, I paid my cobbler $12 for boots and dress shoes, and it's worked out well. Never tried a spray, through.

Big flaw of a lot of graduate programs that aren't specifically statistics focused IMO -- they teach you how to operate the tools and how to conduct the analyses, but not how to pick what analysis is proper (or even sensible / applicable). A research project I'm on recently struggled with calculating correlations in count data, that went about as well as you'd expect.

Huh, I thought it would have been way more expensive. Thanks. Maybe it's just because I'm in a small town.

@Rais I saw your fits starting to get reblogged a bit ago and was psyched, but also noticed the same page (techwearist) at about the same time start reblogging this very fine Barbarella type fit poster (below) with very similar style, and photo quality to your shots. Her tumblr said she was in Melbourne...... do you know of her? And if so is she real or AI?
