^ How is that any worse than 30 year old marketing account manager or Silicon Valley engineer or Ivy League grad student wearing CCP? Maybe he just likes it and budgeted several grand for a cool clothing purchase like... everyone else on this forum...

I'd definitely feel uncomfortable if my jacket was worth more than what my bandmates were making from an entire tour.

Reminds me of the dnb producer/dj Panacea who's always wearing Acronym/RO/BBS.

Although he does have a full set of shiny gold teeth to complete the look.

If your argument is that only certain people can authentically wear certain brands...don't. The CEO of TMobile has a Richard jacket and someone in the Geller thread got upset. Reality is the people you don't like can like the same things you do without it affecting you. And anyone can wear what they want, authentic or otherwise, whether they bought it themselves or not, like Brad Pitt in the CCP leathers.

I just find it fascinating to peer into the inner workings of music acts, since artists rarely disclose their earnings or income streams themselves and, when they do, it often reveals a huge disconnect between expectation and reality. Anyone remember that Grizzly Bear piece that basically revealed how poor all the members were?

And every musician makes money in different ways. Tame Impala apparently wasn't that profitable until they scored some placements in TV spots. And then there are all those bands that only stay above water by touring relentlessly.

So yeah. I'm really curious about Cold Cave The Business

Maybe he's still spending that money from when Fall Out Boy stole his lyrics and they had to pay him $$$ out of court.

the Fuuma fits are all great. creating a personal style is kinda the whole point imo -- even if you're screwing with the lingua franca of a particular forum.
