@nicelynice : Guyi Consignment's legit; I've bought from them twice. Funny you say that about the site design because I noticed they redesigned it recently. Anyway, the email I contacted them with was [email protected].

So I hope this is a sign that Paypal is moving towards better policies: I provided USPS tracking, link to grailed item page, and link to positive feedback for grailed item sold, all in the Paypal resolution center. Then I called them by phone, just to ask if I could provide anything else. Since I was covered by Seller Protection when I sold the item, the guy on the phone immediately unlocked my funds back into my account. I don't know if they can resolve chargeback with the CC company, but at least it looks like they're protecting sellers a bit more?

Lesson learned though: stop selling to annoying lowballers on grailed, only to SF bros you know. Better yet, buy at retail and wear for life.

I had an "item not as described" situation on grailed where the buyer didn't even bother to send me a PM first and just opened a dispute on paypal without warning, and since the item was less than $100, I just said f*ck it and refunded him to avoid the hassle. Annnnd then he tried to re-sell the supposedly not as described item on grailed... for more than it bought it for in the first place.

I also like when people tell me it's x amount at a shop somewhere, usually like $20 more than I have it listed. Just buy it from them then.

Peer-to-peer selling, you'd think, would make everyone more sensitive to customer service people, but if anything, it seems to have brought out the entitled dickiness in a lot of people. The stories or chargebacks are just plain ridiculous.

The worst excuse/explanation I've heard, and I've heard this more than once, is "That guy is clearly richer than me and doesn't need the money as much." I mean, wtf?

From now on, I'm stuffing pictures of my kids (aka someone else's kids) inside the pockets of everything I sell, just as a preemptive guilt-tripping measure for any charge backers.

Or you could just send them a coke bottle, wait for them to do a charge back, then send the correct thing and claim it was a mistake.

This worked on me once. Only it was a wallet I found in high school with a student metro card, some cash and a picture of who I would assume was Jesus.

Betrayed by the organization they trusted, two leather jacket makers strike out on their own, determined to right the wrongs of the past. Charly and Daniel star in:

Drew Detective. We get the jawnz we deserve.
