The Friday Challenge continues to be stuck in the fascinatingly boring alternate universe of The Look Goes On thread where the most mundane style of the 1960s-70s never ended. This week: Crombie overcoats. Next up: Fred Perry? Sta-Prest? And the intrigue! How long can they keep this up? Will the detemined TLGO geezer block vote combined with a diminishing lack of interest from almost anyone else to keep this going forever? Or will we eventually escape into the 1980s? Riveting viewing, folks, riveting...

To be honest I've never been a fan of challenges. What I did enjoy was weekly (bi-weekly?) edition of What Styleforum is Wearing by @Synthese

Apologies for bringing back the Jordans topic but I ended up getting a pair and I was shocked by how terrible the quality was. I was not expecting John Lobb leather but it turns out they’re not even leather, they are plastic. And terrible, terrible one. If I hadn’t bought it from a reputable shop I would never have believed they were not fake. Like, my gf’s nephew got me a ****** pleather wallet for Christmas last year for maybe €10 (which is the wallet I use to this day and will be until falls apart because he used his own money) has better “pleather” than this ****. I can’t believe Nike gets away with selling this piece of crap for €110. My Adidas sneakers (stans and “gats”) are at least leather (and not that bad in the gat ones actually) for less money.

I learned after the fact that quality is crap in jordans mids and it’s better in “OG retro” hi-tops so I got a pair of those where they use leather (they were €160 though).
