Lee Storm Rider?

Yep. Guess that’s it. Levi’s used to, but they haven’t put anything out for years. Funny — all of the “inspired by the originals” brands can’t resist mashing up Levi’s / Lee with Barbour / Filson. I have some waxed outerwear. It has its place, but it really sux in transitional weather where you might actually exert yourself. - you might as well be wearing a trash bag.

Man when is it gonna cool down so I can wear my fall jawnz?

End of October, as usual (usual for a non-drought year). If you went out today and wanted to wear linen, it's six more weeks of Bay Area summer.

I've inverted my schedule. I only go out now between the hours of midnight and 8am, so I can wear fall clothes.

Someone recently sent me this site which grades companies on their impact on the environmental, animals, and labor: https://goodonyou.eco

It doesn't have most of the brands popular here though.

That site also conflates “organic” with “eco friendly” which is often not the case.

I think that website sorta cool, thanks.

The SA at Lululemon this weekend in NZ said that they no longer repair clothes at the store because they couldn't find someone to do it at the quality that fit the brand. How is that even an acceptable company line? Hire someone and train them then if the company has committed to sustainability. I've completely gone off Lulu now.

Didn't even know they offered repairs in store. Sewing skills can be hard to find and finding someone with the skills and the ability to train up someone can be a challenge as well. Offshoring of production leads to a loss of knowledge and infrastructure that can be hard to bring back.

so you telling me i won't be able to find someone to sashiko stitch repair my lulu tights!!

i can see how it can be a challenge. most the time patagonia has just replaced the item versus trying to repair it.

(x-post from visvim thread) Any ideas on how to clean the canvas portion of the 73 boots?

Or am I just being overly-precious about what should be a (literal) canvas for patina?
