People complain about rising fashion prices, but they simply don't pay full price for mid-tier goods -- they constantly comparison shop and shop on sale.

Gitman is actually a perfect example of this. $150 for a shirt isn't really unreasonable at all, and there are a ton of brands that are charging way more for a shirt. But it's such a widely stocked brand that it's just really hard to ever pay full price for it, when you know that there are going to be piles of GBV shirts at 80% off at the end of the season, and even if you don't want to wait that long, there will be some store offering them at 30% off within a week or two at any point in the season.

I know people are probably tired of #menswear rules, but I think anything with a 360 degree flat brim is no bueno. @voxsartoria tries to keep the boater still a thing, but I don't think you can break out of costume with it.

Is there a term for this style of shirt? Big sideways opening chest pockets, I know the Navy used to make work shirts like this, and I’ve seen Japanese shirts like this in the past.
