@dieworkwear Yeah, now it's too hot.

Also the new thumb emoji choice is very limited for the subtle nuances of Style Farming. I might go back to my ambiguous generic thumbs.

See, there’s no good emoji for that comment. But yes, it was too hot ? an hour ago. Now its perfect though?

Not to change the topic too abruptly, but any of y'all got suggestions re: sub-$250 lighter brown leather loafers?

@Kaplan and I were talking a few months ago about Loake Eton and a few others in that price range. Maybe he can give his impressions.

I did get the Loake Eton, and I'm very satisfied with the design and quality, especially at this price point - don't know if they come in the colour and leather you're looking for (I got them in black suede). Let me know if you need sizing info.

Is it just me or RL putting out stuff no one wants to wear? I know I skew more CM but even RLPL is looking both uninteresting (and seriously overpriced). Just looked over the sale stuff and nothing looked appealing.

Their casual stuff is looking gaudy and the military homages are tiresome at best.

I like their women's collection stuff and some RRL stuff.

My wife shops there regularly and I do like their women's stuff. I can't seem to get into RRL, though.

Much of it I don't care for, but I like this

It's been the coolest, mildest year in ages down south until yesterday, when it was 101 and swampy humid. So while I, too, was longing for summer and aloha shirts, I didn't ask for that ****.

i think at the bottom of everything ralph is about traditional english tailoring via american prep. that's the DNA imo. and i think that the subtext of all of that (as a lifestyle brand) is way out of step with many folks' existential reality at the moment, it's just not all that aesthetically useful or pleasing a mode of dress. but, that's fashion no? the knitwear endures, however.

rrl is rich person ranch fantasy and cosplaying as a jewelry buyer driving past indian reservations looking for lapis and silver earrings and paying a small child for $5 for a rug

they do make killer knits, though

All fashion worth buying is ultimately about fantasy though.

Weren't you giving someone grief about their farm Airbnb fantasy but dressing like the rancher is ok!
