Classic ignorant SF mentality. Tawdry rags that you call 'Margaret Howell' will be used as fuel to burn, heating our homes. Drake's ties will be fashioned into either slingshots or form part of grenadine ropes that we use in our return to horse and carriage.

Finally, you can forget about the Made in England shoes as well, as we shall descend upon Northampton and they will be distributed as multi-purpose supplies, first as handy blunt melee weapons to fight others for their own shoes, then once the Goodyear welts give way the leather will be boiled and feasted upon as the edible flesh it once was.

Bespoke tailoring seems like it'll experience a boom once Britain returns to a barter economy.

I think it's actually now more likely that Brexit will not happen at all. For a while the agreed date for Brexit will continue to be postpoined and eventually it will just be forgotten as the Brexit supporters gradually die off. The UK will always be leaving but never actually leave.

This would be nice, but I have a sinking feeling that the EU Parliament vote that happened this week will show the Brexit parties doing well. They have the cohesive narrative, whereas Labour, best placed to counter Conservative, is in the tricky position of being unable to take a stance against Brexit/Tories due to a lot of their constituents being pro Leave. That, and their leader is also an EU-sceptic.

why silk socks?

most of the standard good sock brands offer a silk option: Bresciani, Corgi, Dore Dore, Pantherella
