Credit to my wife. The house I grew up in never had anything hung on the wall even.

Nice! I think installing mural-type wallpaper in our nursery was one of those things that I'm glad I did, and was incredibly satisfying because it was a good level of "difficult but entirely doable by just being careful", but I can't say I have interest in ever doing it again.

I imagine it was really hard to apply smoothly/square? We kind of winged it - she made a drawing on her iPad and then superimposed it over a photo of the wall to estimate proportions. Moving to the actual wall, we drew a light pencil grid and she did the rest with interior paint.

Oh wow I didn't notice that yours was actually hand painted! That's beautiful. I thought it was a wallpaper.

Smarter not harder baby - whether y’all knew it or not she was utilizing some old sign painting techniques

Don't let Foo know about this...

re: Umit B et al, does anyone still post runway stuff here? Sipang used to, but even pre-Covid I don't recall seeing as many shows posted. Was an easy way to get exposed to stuff I wouldn't otherwise notice or just to see cool stuff from familiar designers.

@Maxwellll

I hope I got that tag right

Huge props! Thought it was amazing before you told us your wife painted it herself!

Lesser related note - the ultra chunky woven duvet thing looks very cool. Any pointers as to where it came from?

It's mostly in the designer specific threads.
Like you said, Sip posted a fair bit and like Balti said, so does @Maxwellll

It's also kind of related to this thread - https://www.styleforum.net/threads/...reciation-thread.527847/page-18#post-10624762

incidentally the last thing posted in there was some B+ Umit i added a few months ago.

Some random Amazon buy - it's technically for putting the baby on the ground or a chair etc

Summer is the one time of the year I go very "down market" with one clothing item. When I'm running errands I'll put on my khaki trousers, a poplin check shirt with sleeves rolled, a nice watch, and a pair of royal blue Ked's. No need to wear my Cleverleys to run errands. Sadly Ked's recently stopped making their "tennies" in royal blue. They still come in navy ... but not royal. Any suggestions for an alternative? I suppose they don't really have to be down market ... the look is more important.

For a while I was able to find new old stock in a woman's size that would fit. I guess this is as close as I've come to drag. Well, there was Halloween in 86 when I dressed as Charo.
