Yes, exactly. I still look like that, but less dirty.
On dad talk; my oldest (9 yo) just thinks everything I wear looks the same. My youngest will catch my browsing stuff on my laptop and no matter what it is hell say "oh you have that in your room".
Do you really need an explanation beyond the fact that certain people find it cool or interesting, and over time a small or large trend can form? It's a sincere, seemingly trite answer, only because men have long tried to over-complicate their interest in fashion with hollow rationalizations like craftsmanship, quality, or innovative design.
