I'm going to attempt to not buy clothes for awhile. I've stocked my basement with a year's supply of water and canned beans, back issues of Free & Easy, Jazz records and a latrine. The keys to my shackles have been entrusted to an old priest and a young priest.

The priest strategy is dubious at best. Aside from that, best of luck. I’ll be reminding you semi-regularly that japanese repro leather jackets are what’s what.

Speaking of which, my 9 months old spilled ice cream on a suede jacket I had for 2 weeks. It’s gonna be a fun endeavor to learn to clean that.

RFT, I basically just wear bootcut/western jeans now and would just wear other types of pants in that cut if I could find them. Feels good, looks right. I suggest giving them a shot.

Which models/ brands? I've been wearing Wrangler Wranchers.

I have been going with Levi’s 527. Cheap and available. Those wranchers are exactly what I want if they would make them in cotton or wool (or linen? Won’t happen!)

Used to wear 517 a ways back, but I think the 527 look a little better. How does the actual waist size compare to the labeled size @DLester? Thanks

I find all Levi’s vanity sized so I size down from 36 to 34 - if I didn’t do that they would be way too big in the waist. They end up as a regular fit through the leg with a noticeable flare that isn’t over the top.

Not really a jeans guy but thought this was interesting.

Been gravitating towards jeans with a higher rise over the last couple years, but I've never really gravitated toward wide legs on jeans, I think that I can wear wider pants, but it just doesn't feel right with denim.
I'm going to attempt to not buy clothes for awhile.

NOT THE REAL MCCOY’S
The very one.

It’s a minor spill, and I still love my kid more than any jackets. Still, I ordered a bunch of Saphire cleaning products online this morning and will try to make my jacket look stain-free again as soon as I get them.

After doing mid-to-high rise slim for long enough, I decided to go straight and I bought TCB 50’s with a 10 inch leg opening. I actually decided to taper them to just a hair under 9 inches, despite sound voices telling me they looked fine before.

And you know what? After wearing them for 6 months I think 10 inches was completely fine.

Last picture of that jacket before the ice cream incident w/ mildly tapered TCB 50's jeans.

let's revisit this statement when your kid is going through puberty and you buy your mid-life crisis leather jacket and porsche
