That's OK - that answers my question. I wanted to see if anyone used it (or knew of it).

It's a consumer-centric shopping app that facilitates universal checkout on any site where you shop, and generates a payment card for each purchase. It's meant to provide better privacy, less tracking, faster checkout.... They promise a 3 tap / 5 second checkout on any site.

Haven't used it. On a side note though, some of the stores I frequent use shoppay and that's been convenient for payment.

Shop.pay is the Shopify payment/purchase service, right? With built-in recommendations and "discover" lists? That's kinda the opposite of what the guy at nate is trying to do (e-commerce centric approach to purchases and data centralization vs nate's mission to keep all data private and for the consumer). I honestly have no idea if it works well - I tried it on our site and it bugged out so not a great sign... but I find the positioning and mission interesting. I imagine most customers (apparently not @lesamourai ) prefer faster and less labor-intensive checkout, and I imagine an increasing number also are starting to prefer keeping their data private.

I imagine if we could keep a list of what items we like in an app, and then buy them, regardless of the store, with one tap (e.g. when they go on sale), it would feel like a very useful service.

@gdl203 PayPal also offers peace of mind in terms of information security. Not saying that your site is not secure, but when buying from newer/smaller retailers, I prefer to use PayPal as there's not yet another place that has my CC# stored for years even if it's just a one off purchase. That being said the last time I had my number stolen it was from Target so there's no guarantee of data security anywhere, but PayPal just adds another layer of protection in this case.

Anything that provides a sense of security is good. To clarify, we do not store CC information. We use secure payment services that authorize and charge the card, then provide us with the last 4 digits only. Anyone hacking our system would find no payment information for any order we've processed. They would know what size pants you wear though...

Thankfully I limit my clothing purchases to two brands, but still managed to do a little damage with the spring and now fall seasons.

Otherwise, paid the balance for my White Kloud boots back in October (thankfully made a larger deposit when ordered) and just ordered another pair of Whites. I'm basically done for the year at this point. Also managed to sell off the last bit of clothing/items that no longer fits in with my wardrobe or current style direction.
Curious - which 2 brands?

As a Canadian, one reason I keep money in my PayPal is because it's USD and I use USD to buy stuff from the US to avoid foreign exchange (either transferring money to PayPal or charging my CC when buying from US)

Fellow Canadian here who uses PayPal for the exact reasons above, as well as the ones @true.to.size stated. With the CC, It's only 2.5-3% extra on average, but it adds up over time and I lose out on the FX rate if I have to make a return. It's why when I make the occasional No Man purchase, I try and make sure it counts. The office appointments were great for this back when travelling to NYC was possible.

Though when I receive my Canadian monopoly money via PayPal, it leaves the account the same day.

Are you living in Asia now? When I still got dressed I enjoyed Kamakura a lot. Along the same line as Gitman, size up and get some OCBDs from Portuguese Flannel. Love PF stuff.

New Zealand still, graduating next year. Kamakura, ah great idea, I can scoop some off Yahoo Japan Auctions. I'll checkout Portuguese Flannel.

I never thought I'd have so much difficulty spending a $500 gift card. I wanted a blazer to replace this Le Smoking jacket I sold earlier this year for a penny and found one but the seller is so rude and stubborn I'm so hesitant to offer him full asking. Guy wouldn't even throw in a shirt he had because it was $10 over my budget. It's not a Le Smoking but its an SLP blazer at a fair price, please tell me I'm not tripping and you guys have similar experiences.

Check out Schnayderman's. They run a little big so make sure you check the measurements but its the best fitting ocbd I've ever owned.
