I really wanted to like Suicoke’s but they were pretty uncomfortable (the little ridges) and I couldn't get them to work for me style-wise either.

I much prefer Malibu‘s

When you buy suicokes you're buying Tevas but designed. It's like buying GATs. The price is the price because that's the price. They're pretty cheap tbh — regularly go on sale, not super hard to find, and not too much more expensive than a pair of Tevas (which I do own, the Snow Peak ones which are great).

The ACG ones look nice. Do I need 3? Should just buy another pair of crocs.

Just received my multicolor ACG ones today and I felt immediately transported to that vacation I took to Corfu in 1992

I propose a most frivolous hobby-off. Just before quarantine I went to my second fountain pen convention. Everyone there looked like Richard Attenburough in Jurassic Park

Catch and Release Fly fishing. Why spend all that $$$ and not even bring any fish home?

Yes, the participants may be a bit more fit than the fountain pen crowd (or maybe not) but their clothing has an even higher goof factor. You think you look like this:

but you don’t...

Seems like you've never heard of eastlogue or South2west8.

Fly fishing is the new influencer past time. I'm gonna take my rod out this weekend actually.

Fishing is Lindy.

Humans have been doing it for tens of thousands of years.

And even catch and release fishing is a meaningful way to spend time. You're moving, you're in nature and you're developing a skill.

Meaningful pursuits don't have to end in tangible gain of money or goods.
