bought tickets to see him in 2015: we briefly spoke about kapital and his life in france. he also left an interesting note in my book...

Hah, that's awesome. I read my first Sedaris book this year, it's not like I'm a dunce who doesn't read any books, but for some reason he's just been an author that I never got it to. But I read it in nearly a day, I was really missing USA and I didn't know it but he's from an area that I used to live in (and was also homesick about), it was almost perfect book for that moment.

The combination of pink linen shirt and jeans that are skin tight because they shrunk in the wash is not doing me any favors today.

I was going to comment on decadence and decline after seeing that Matches is featuring a "Style At Home" editorial, but then I saw this

@LA Guy why kill my post about a Luxeswap listing? they’re a paid advertiser, and I have some SW&D stuff with them.

Is there a rule I’m missing?

Access to this community is part of why I use Luxeswap rather than Grailed.

70's Sartorial pretty good article on 70's styles over on the Criterion Channel. Years ago I posted some great pics from a friend's time at boarding school in Switzerland back in the early 70's. Wish I'd bookmarked that page.

I love the "street scene" videos from various big cities that are all over Youtube for checking out historical styles. There are some good 70s ones I've watched recently. This video is not strictly 70s style, but London was so far ahead of the curve fashion-wise that a lot of the stuff you see in this video are what the early 70s looked like in the rest of the world.
