Elliot Bay is open for online orders. Supported their workers when they unionized.

I dunno man, not sure there are any easy answers here. If Powells or others don't have cash reserves to make it they can't just print money. Heath Ceramics is down to skeleton operations. I know a guy that just closed a successful restaurant rather than bleed out slowly with takeout. His thinking is that if he's able to hold onto the cash he does have and re-open (employing people again) when this is over that's better for everyone.

I'm looking at the tone of marketing right now. I've been floored that Design Within Reach continues to run through my IG feed with let them eat cake type posts about relaxing on their expensive furniture. Also pained by a lot of the NYT coverage...how to look good on webcam, how dogs are benefitting from extra contact, etc. No wonder they hate us.

Why do you think those kinds of articles are bad?

Any recs on house slippers that come in a 14? Looking for something that has at least some sort of an outsole so that I can walk to my mailbox in the next building.
Forester & Son, London makes nice slippers.

And Google Resipsa for slippers made from Kilim rugs. Super comfortable. I wear them everywhere (house, grocery shopping, out for drinks, travel) https://resipsausa.com/collections/mens-kilim-loafers

So guys, I am rethinking my style of clothing but needs a bit of help.

I am leaning towards a style that I would describe as minimalistic street with an edge. I am thinking denim, t shirts, clean hoodies, sneakers, cargo pants, all with a little luxurious touch to it and small details.

Would love some pic of outfits as inspiration.

It’s safe to assume that most small businesses have been forced to lay off a lot of their workers or close indefinitely. Unfortunately, this will be the new business landscape.

I’ve also been looking at the marketing tone but to be honest, I think most businesses are just trying to stay afloat. So, I don’t need repeated social media posts about Covid-19 or whatever because it impacts everyone. I say to just continue to support small businesses if you’re financially able to so that we can keep the economic ecosystem alive

... how dogs are benefitting from extra contact ...

there is a lockdown policy and you can only go out for exercise or to walk your dog or buy essentials, so neighbours had been passing the dogs around via the backyards, now all the dogs are tired from these extra walks and don't want to go anymore
