Whenever people on SF (almost always CM dorks) call pants “strides”, “trew”, or “pents” a part of me dies inside

So, yesterday I went to a store that carries JMM and I tried them on. Holy hell, I have never tried any glasses that looks worse on me (I have a narrow face which doesn’t help). Regis looks so fly and I look like a try hard and I’m pretty sad about it.

Conversely, tried on a pair of vintage NOS aviators from the 50s that looked pretty sweet. Really expensive though. (Are vintage NOS frames expensive, period?).

Can't you get something just like these from American Optics or Randolph Engineering? (I have a pair of RE in gun metal with the bayonet temples and both the Grey and the AGX Green lenses, easily exchanged. Pretty satisfied with those.)

Btw, that's a very nice suit, shirt, tie combo.

A bunch and they all looked like garbage on me.

However, I’m a swagless white dude.

Honestly, price was not that different between RE and vintage NOS. I think the vintage draw is that it is kind of cool. Ultimately, I walked away without them.

And thanks about the suit combo! Kind of my daily outfit lately.

Sartoria Carrera, it’s currently available at everyone’s favorite etailer.
