FWIW I prefer epaulet gats to margiela gats... original GATs are absolute dogshit quality, though, so anyone who talks about how great the deadstocks are is full of ****.

The $30 Nick Wooster/JC Penny gats are still the best iteration, all things considered.

i think a couple months ago the gq podcast called golf coming back hard. apparently the new bloods in golf are pretty yoked and don't look like alcoholic abusive uncles.

I don’t really think the swd side of sf is about status signaling. At least that’s not the intention even if it’s an inevitable biproduct.

it is and it isn't. at the end of the day we generally talk about really expensive clothing, even if it looks like thrift store ****. especially when you get into the more pure streetwear side of things/designer side... people aren't just buying $600 saint laurent boots because of the quality

people who are working minimum wage aren't buying engineered garments or viberg boots.

also ervell pocket sweaters might've been the most overrated thing on SF. the pattern was ******* insane.

I mean sure, but there’s a difference between dressing like a space hobo and being dapper.

I've owned two pairs of Raf velcros, both long gone. (One I didn't even sell, they went to Goodwill) Never managed to wear them out without feeling like a total tool.
