I had to laugh at this post over at Putthison:

    https://putthison.com/everything-in-mens-style-right-now-is-about-portlandia

I found myself in at least three different characters: Japanese Workwear Guy, Cool Dad, Guy Who [thinks he] Knows Everything, and You, Probably.

I actually think there maybe another category that fits me best: Duped By The Internet - the guy who ends up with a couple things from every trend - lumberjack, elevated prep, ersatz military, fly fisher couture, athleisure, selvedge workwear, Alden fanboi, Allen Edmonds fanboi, sneakerhead, Patagucci afficionado, Harris Tweedie, Filsonian, LL Beanie Baby, ...

To be fair, I’m kind of grandfathered into the Cool Dad category because (1) I am an actual dad, and (2) I have been climbing / skiing / backpacking / fly fishing since birth and still have Patagonia items I bought in the mid 1980’s.

For everything else, I blame the internet...

The guy who knows everything mixed with the Slightly Overcommitted Rockabilly guy mixed with the Guy who's really into wearing black. I feel like I have a lot of intersectionality here.

Thuyas are better — I was considering between Kleman and Thuyas and honestly, Greg is right. It just plain looks cheaper.

This is best though. Super expensive.

Those ^ are the best Tyrolean shoes on the market. Even though I generally dislike the style, I gave them a try, but unfortunately the sizing did not work.

There is a lot of garbage on the market right now, but I don't think anything is quite as terrible as designer attempts at the chunky shoe bandwagon:

I would go for the Paraboot Milly in black pony hair.
