I'll leave you with one other thought: ball space. The difference between the cuts in women's and men's jeans is pretty significant. Women can comfortably wear men's jeans. The converse is not true. That feeling when, after a few beers, you find yourself googling the distinction between male- and female-marketed denim in an attempt to find counter-evidence to your justification for keeping the women’s-line Visvim jeans you inadvertently purchased on final sale, because you don’t really want to put forth the effort required to flip them on SF or eBay, and so you end up on a YouTube video touting the merits of wearing boyfriend jeans, and, because you find his cadence refreshing, check out the presenter’s other videos, only to realize he is just another internet personality hawking corporate wares, and so you feel betrayed, because you thought he was sincere in his endorsement of wearing women’s denim and now you can’t be certain, but then you realize that, really, this is what you would expect of anyone with a YouTube channel and, further, you don’t understand how or why such an influencer-sustaining ecosystem can exist, but then you remember the ‘In My Feelings’ challenge, but, no, you’re still confused, and all you’re left with is the thought: “masculine fragility”.
