I’ve been saying for years that laces are the devils work. I was the only person walking around with laceless GATs here 😂 ….maybe took it too far with that one

Anyways you’re already halfway to the Regis Freedom Plan. Next work on getting rid of all underwear and socks
ngl, I've been foregoing both more since the pandemic, but the underwear only when I am at home in lounge clothes. Also ngl, it is pretty comfortable.

You are a corrupting influence.

Well it’s only taken me about 13 years…

Now get some tropical virgin wool trousers for a euphoric experience. Preferably on a nice windy day by the beach…..it’s the little things in life man

I can't figure out the no socks thing, even doing that with loafers or MMM Laceless Gats etc my feet sweat in about 15 seconds. They dont sweat at all in socks
My feet don't sweat much at all, especially with a Saphir anatomic insert, with has the added bonus of giving my poor fallen arches some relief. I know some other people use talcum powder on their feet. But yeah, easier for some than for others.

I'm also Team No Socks most of the year, mostly because I have wider feet and ideally need a 12.5 in most sneakers. Without socks, I don't get the sensory issues I have when wearing socks with my shoes. I just use Dr. Scholl's foot powder during the spring or summer months.

But I'm kind of having a footwear crisis, anyway, since I found out recently I've got the early stages of arthritis in my right big toe and I've been advised to wear use orthotics and also ditch any shoes that don't have wider toe boxes (RIP my beloved Vans).

Completely different look, but i like Guidi side zips and chelseas. The heels are broader than CM footwear, but I don't think that they are very high, for the most part.

I once saw a pair of bright red Guidi chelseas for such a good price I almost regret not buying them. It just wouldn't work with my wardrobe unfortunately (I don't have the balls to be the monochrome guy with bright footwear).

Weak like low and out of proportion. I used to have Buttero Floyd and Paris boots, but found the heel too low.

Yes to Savas backzips! Got like 5 of those boots. Tecovas and other ropers. LBG. Been wearing Lemaire chelseas, Crux Deluxe johds, and Second/Layer sidezips lately.

Over the past 5 years I've phased out laces almost entriely, so now I'm in sidezips and loafers pretty much exclusively.

Other zip boots I like:

JL Freddi (I should think the suede would be up your alley @RegisDB9)

From what you're posting I think it's not necessarily heel height but the balance between heel and sole.

This pair of Celine Jacnos has a high heel but the sole is so incredibly thin it exacerbates the problem. Compare that to a Guidi 788Z which has a heel that is only slightly lower but looks so much more casual because of the fat sole.

I think my sweet spot for heel height is generally 40/45mm but both of these boots are wonderful. Also, never owned anything from Savas but those boots are great.

Sidenote but I can't believe some of you are rawdogging sneakers and boots. Only thing I go sockless in is a pair of Uma Wang slippers/loafers, and that's inside the house.

I had (still have) some “artisanal” boots (not Guidi but in Guidi leather) that were a bit too red for my taste so I just apply black shoe cream every once in a while. I personally like the effect of the red peeking through. Kinda like “teacore” but with red instead lf brown.

I guess flared pants are back? I really like them and have been wearing them for a while.

I predict that some of you will hate this. 😆
