I really like these exaggerated kiltie loafers that seem to be popping up everywhere:

They're removable so you can probably 'pull them up' a bit. That second one is a death trap if you ever ride an escalator. Plus, the leather would surely look like **** after the first wear.
That’s probably the retailer and/or dhl f-ing up the paperwork. If the retailer doesn’t fill out the forms correctly you can get dinged. I’ve gotten a dhl shipment corrected but it was a pita. Also had a FedEx shipment the retailer corrected. Are we in the US getting charged duties on Canadian stuff or is it just DHL? I ordered two things from Canada, both over $800, shipped to the US. One shipped UPS the other DHL. DHL charged me a $128 duty on the item they shipped, UPS did not. I know that technically theres a duty over 800, but I've literally never experienced this before buying from Canada. May have to rethink some things I've been considering.

If the shipment was over $800 then yes it is subject to import dutiesAre we in the US getting charged duties on Canadian stuff or is it just DHL? Oh, important distinction, is your stuff actually made in Canada? If it’s not made in Canada the $800 limit applies. Are we in the US getting charged duties on Canadian stuff or is it just DHL?
