@RegisDB9 Galliano out at Margiela

And the tabi lovers wept…man I’m glad that’s over

I’m ready to take over. All the collections will be called Re-Replica by Regis or RRR for the true OGs who heard it here first. I’d literally copy all seasons from 02-2013, kick Miss Deanna off the couch and profit

Sorry Renzo I’m not selling out well maybe I mean no def not. Ok for like 1B maybe. No won’t do it

On a serious note I hope some random Margiela assistant steps up and takes the brand back to its glory days. Maybe the man himself will get the itch again for a couple seasons

Yeah, besides Wade and Shaq, basically a midget. And then next to Lebron, lucky to get court time at all. Just #gratefui to get fourth quarter minutes, Not even like he put many points on the board. Just 12, sometimes twenty. But three ponters rack up and are easy when you are sitting on the line and Lebron kicks it out on a drive. But #noflex, just #grateful #godsplan.
Hey man you only live once YOLO BYOB and all that

Anyways here’s me towering over my staff #nonweird flex #donthate #tallnephewproblems

@nahneun is going to hate this but playing ball with guys that were 6’9-7’5 being 6’4 isn’t being that tall for me. No complaints or weird flexes…
Working in sales I’ve had multiple bosses in the 6’6” to 6’11” range - the latter played varsity ball for Cal in the 70s.

Spending time in public with that last guy gave me a lot of sympathy for the attention and comments that very tall people attract.

Right: "You're so tall and tanned and buff."

Nah. Inevitably the comments are designed to take the tall guy down a peg. Unconsciously, I'm sure, but we correlate height with social status in our society, and some men seem to feel their own status is implicitly threatened by a taller man.

This is true. I’m rather tall and have had short guys try and pick fights with me at bars. They want to prove something.

Imagine feeling like the only thing holding you back from success is some immutable random genetic factor, while you spend your life watching the lottery winners succeed.

I mean, I did have a series of like 5 bosses who were all the tallest guy in the business unit.

I’ve never given a $hit about advancing up the ladder but I’ve seen this play out enough to get that it isn’t coincidental.

There are a couple Pistons that work out at my club (one or both may be on the G League team… I don’t really pay attention to basketball) and they always get comments in the locker room about their height. On face value the comments always seem innocuous or maybe even complimentary but as an outside observer they always sound like some sort of neg towards the tall guy (a micro-aggression?) even if the commenter didn’t really intend it that way. Cringe, as my daughter would say. I just don’t know why anybody would comment to somebody about their height or something else they really have no control over, especially to a total stranger.

FWIW, I do sort of enjoy when one of those Pistons just pretends he doesn’t speak any English and ignores the questions/comments then goes out into the gym talking to others in perfect English. 😂

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
