Is it even worth mentioning Kanye's show with White Lives Matter and Pope John Paul II tees and sweats for his Paris show?

There was more than just those items. As with any show, the artistic merits of the entire show are for sure worth the discussion.

I'm not so sure about that. Just like for security clearance checks, maybe some things should be considered disqualifying regardless of the merits otherwise. A fruit of the poisonous tree type of thing.

As long as the sports coat isn't too slim (and yours isn't), I don't mind a wide-leg chino with them. It's definitely a casual look, but it's pretty comfortable and has been a staple for me for years, especially in the fall and winter with a tweed sports coat or big fuzzy Shetland sweater.

The J. Crew Giant Chino that somebody posted is a pretty good option. I bought a pair when they were first launched and really like everything about them except that they come pre-finished with relatively small cuffs of about 1". It wasn't a big enough deterrent from stopping me ordering a second pair though. I also really like the Full Count "1201 Officer Chino"; their a bit more than your $200 budget but I've got a couple pair and they're very well made, hold a crease very nicely, and are a little more refined feeling than the J. Crew Giant Chino.

For the price though, the Bronson Mfg Co. chinos look fantastic.
I ended up ordering the O'Connell's chinos. Seems like they'll be a nice middle of the road silhouette.

I'm still highly tempted by the Bronson and J. Crew options though that you mentioned.

Do you happened to have any pictures of a wide leg chino being worn with a tweed sports coat?

I don't mind a casual look, as long as it's coherent.

What do you all think of this waxed cotton jacket at Division Road? Quite pricey but nice. Decided I didn't want a Barbour. Love them but they are suburban MILF-wear where I live. We have one kid still in High School and I notice Barbour jackets seemingly on every-other Mom at school events.

I like it and it would fit well with the things you already wear.

I don't off-hand, but I'm sure @sipang does.

I'm considering some chinos myself, maybe Rubato since they have a pop-up coming here soon, but would be interested to here about the O'Connell's.

Wildly overpriced and not as cool as a Barbour is my opinion. If you want a non-Barbour what about this one?

Interesting but not my style. Kind of an aggressive motorcycle cut.

Barbour is iconic but a bit too boring and commonplace for me I guess. My kids both wear the Barbour jackets I got them a few years ago, though.

The Division Road jacket is still available in all sizes after being out for quite a while now. I suspect a sale soon.

This looks like something you can find at the mall, so if you're making a "fill a gap" purchase, this shouldn't be it.

Living in the DC area would also kill any residual interest I might have for Barbour.

The last time I was really into Barbour occurred when the ToKiTo collab was going strong.

What about this from PWVC? Admittedly more military and less hiker, but still cool. Same retail, and already on sale: https://www.privatewhitevc.com/products/the-ripstop-recruit-parka?variant=39644640870461

Disagree with the Mall thing actually.

What about a Filson jacket? About half the price and tougher looking, if that matters.

Also, what’s wrong with suburban MILFs?

Ok so I only recently came across brands like Noah and Aime Leon Dore (I know, I've been living under a rock). I love the style and was wondering if anyone here had any recos for a few other brands with a similar vibe/aesthetic? I'm trying to dabble in street style but a lot of what I find our there just feels too out there/weird for my taste.

Let me know if this post should belong on another forum/thread. Just joined this week so still getting the lay of the land.
