@superbobo at this point... everyone? my favourite 'dad options' are MHL, UU, and a UK brand called form & thread.

for a more technical look stoney is king and allows you to cultivate that top boy vibe. americans should not wear stoney its cultural appropriation, drake hanging in the ends speaking with a faux jamaican patois

Thanks! I agree that they are everywhere but rarely look very good, unfortunately. Despite that, i find the category to be super useful for lazy everyday dressing (thrown on top of a t shirt, done).

yes theyre a staple for me too, if nothing else they've killed the 'casual blazer' which we should all be thankful for

some of those korean micro brands seem to have interesting tech-ish options, frizmworks for example. might be worth investigating

Well! I applied for an apparel designer position last night and they emailed me at noon today asking when I can come "meet the team." I spoke with the Director of Design and Innovation last Friday for the first time and he ended the conversation asking about my availability and salary range. 🤞🤞
Absolutely amazing, and extremely well-deserved! Your leap into shifting careers and not being afraid to pursue your passion is truly inspirational. Excited to hear about all of the details if/when you feel comfortable sharing. Congrats!

My favourite is (surprisingly enough) a Dries shirt/jacket that is an "adaptation" (copy with nicer fabric) of a military uniform, maybe with some cutting trick added (one piece collar/placket makes the piece but dunno how the original was cut). If I had to find more think I'd look at Stone Island like @robinsongreen68, I like Japanese streetwear Urahara or successor brands like Goodenough, Wtaps and Neighborhood but they tend to be cut for shorter people so it'll be annoying, these things should be slightly loose. Where do you get your military pants/chinos btw?

Thanks, man! I appreciate it. It’s been a long three years, but they have been a good exercise in patience. I’m about to start my final (part-time) year in the program. At my age (turned 49 yesterday!), there is all sorts of uncertainty and stress, but it’s all been outweighed by the rewards. I think the biggest reward has come when well-established companies are so interested in me and my work. I’ll post an update when I have one.

Thanks so much. We just started this, mostly because I have a few memberships like this, and it makes both the supporter and the community feel good. We are working on some badges for the supporters!

We plan to have a button from the navigation, to make it easier, but we rolled it out quietly, as we were still making sure that things were working on the backend.
it'd be rare for me to use affiliate links but this is a terrific option ! thanks for putting it together

subbed !

Has anybody bought J Crew new stuff?
I’m not personally interested in it but am curious if all the talk actually has meant sales and what people think about it irl.
