Big yes. I have two pairs of high tops and love them. Much better than the standard chuks.

Can also do the CDG Play version (cover your eyes sinnedk). I would get these over the regular Cons. But still would go with Shoes Like Pottery.

Summer is the one time of the year I go very "down market" with one clothing item. When I'm running errands I'll put on my khaki trousers, a poplin check shirt with sleeves rolled, a nice watch, and a pair of royal blue Ked's. No need to wear my Cleverleys to run errands. Sadly Ked's recently stopped making their "tennies" in royal blue. They still come in navy ... but not royal. Any suggestions for an alternative? I suppose they don't really have to be down market ... the look is more important.

For a while I was able to find new old stock in a woman's size that would fit. I guess this is as close as I've come to drag. Well, there was Halloween in 86 when I dressed as Charo.
Have you looked at Superga?

Did u get to touch the texas traditions? ?

graham has really good style

I got to touch the Graham Ebners. He made those all his lonesome. And they're a thing to behold – over 800 hand-sewn knots at both ends of the stitch to make the spines of the cacti, that go in before the lining. Once the lining is in, then there’s the “stitch in the ditch” along the outline of the cactus. The variegated stitch depths allows for dimensionality in the design (it puffs out a little). Suede is pig suede, shaft is kangaroo, and there’s come calf somewhere in there.

Here’s Peter Middleton from Wythe marveling at the same:

The last is also distinctive and flattering in a way that a lot of boots are not. Not that I’m wearing cowboy boots, but compare my Celine’s above to his boots, both in a size 12(ish). No competition.

I hope I got that right - I’m auditioning for brand manager. Building the brand story.
