Rancourt x JCrew bison Baxter. I was just about to ask Rancourt to make me a Baxter in chocolate bison with an LH Rally sole but I'm getting these instead for a couple hundred less

The RLH sole is worth the extra $ especially if you are walking on hard surfaces. Rancourts camp sole is great but hard as a rock. I had them make me a pair of Acadia's with the Rally sole. They are my most comfortable pair of Rancourts.

I have a pair of Clymer 2 boots in chocolate bison and they are very comfy.

If I find them to be that uncomfortable I'll have them put a new sole on them. It'll still be cheaper. I've got other shoes with camp soles and they don't bother me. I love the bisonbtpp have them on Sherman camp mocs

The camp soles are good. They make for a more flexible and lighter shoe because a midsole is not required. Personally, I prefer the camp soles for casual summer wear. The RLH sole is very nice too and is especially good if you intend to do a lot walking or are on your feet for long periods of time. It is super comfortable -- feels like walking on a crepe sole but more durable. You can't go wrong either way in my opinion.

Careful, typically camp soles can only be replaced in kind, no swaps available due to the different construction.

That said I do find camp soles to be quite comfy, but a bit slippery.

Good to hear. Yeah I have the crepe and love the comfort and I have traveller mocs that wear like sneakers. So I'm curious to see how the camp moc performs.

Hadn't heard before good info! I'll ask David.
