These are nice. I did not pull the trigger because the stitching in the middle put me off though. Otherwise they are nice boots
Not beauty queens, but they were dirt cheap and hopefully, my purchase helped out a good American company during tough times.

I'm contemplating another custom Rancourt order -or 2 - of something wicked that I absolutely do not need.

Like these beauties...

Edit - had to do a bit of research - this boot is credited to @BAK. I think it also planted a seed for @mdubs to create a beautiful pair of #4 boots. I like the grain, but just re-read that BAK doesn't recommend the leather on boots because of it's stiffness. Hmmmm.

That looks pretty darn great. And grain would probably not mind if it got a bit dirty from time to time.

The general design seems familiar but I can’t quite place it. Hmm ...

Yup, that was my boot! The leather works fine as a shoe (I had a Bartlett cap toe made in it and wore it extensively) but the leather is too stiff for the boot quarters. That was Horween's Latigo Glacé, which was a printed cowhide, hence the reason it was so stiff. I was about to recommend a Scotch Grain Rancourt has used, but I see now it's also a cowhide so probably gonna be about the same stiffness.

It'd be a bit more casual, but this Bison would make a great soft, rugged boot (#3550-34):

Did Rancourt ever make any shoes or boots for Brooks Brothers such as this one? "Boat boots, made from suede. Plaid flannel lining. Tonal raw hide laces. White wedge Vibram® sole. Made in the USA."

All the Rancourt for BB shoes/boots were co-branded with both Rancourt and BB logos. If you take a close look you can see the Rancourt name on the sockliner:

Some additional real world photos I found here (click then scroll down).

It's here: Crowdfunding Bennett Court Sneakers

I'm so torn about which one to get...cream with Reltex Lactae Hevea Vantage outsole or White with cup sole.
