Tan bulldog looks really nice. I've been admiring this pair on Rancourt's site. I'd love to see this in person.

These look like a very solid pair of boat shoes.

Someone posted it earlier, but what do you guys think of the Rancourt for Jack Spades here:
    http://www.jackspade.com/U.S.A.-Bar...or=482&start=26&cgid=surplus-sale-accessories

I want a nice casual shoe for the summer, that I'll be wearing with shorts, and was thinking of picking that up. Rancourt's boat shoes are $215 (which opens up the colour options a lot more), but I just don't think I want to spend twice as much for those, since for my next "real" shoe purchase I want a pair of Alden shell longwings, which is something I could wear year-round, and is going to cost a lot more.

    Thoughts?

I asked Rancourt and it's the tan bulldog. I'm planning a pair of beefrolls and a pair of venetians, and I didn't want to get both in the brown cxl, so I'm looking for a lighter color for the venetians. I think I'm down to this and the wheat cavalier cxl. I'm trying to decide if the bulldog will be too stiff compared to the cxl.

Are there any stockists for the natural CXL Ranger Mocs anywhere close to Los Angeles?

Guys I'm sorry via iPhone I can't get it to allow me to load multi pictures.

The sole stitching seems way back A compared to online photos

Congratulations on those beefrolls. I think that black mark is just part of the joy of light colored shell. Glad to hear you are OK with it. Wear, enjoy, and let us see some photos once the shell ages a bit.

That color shell is going to darken considerably and you will see a lot of black come through all over the shoe, so the mark already there will blend in nicely....

I think we should just call it what it is: a flaw in the leather.

Doesn't look like a flaw to me. In fact I think if he wiped them down with some Venetian Cream with a cotton cloth it would come off.

I did just that with tiny bit of venetian cream though not completely gone its hardly noticeable and I simple love the loafer. Can't wait for my espresso one. I did that one just like the Navy pinch that was on the Facebook page.

Anyone know if Rancourt changed their email addresses? I tried emailing Taryn today and it bounced back. Then I tried emailing Jordan and the same thing happened (rejected by the server for the recipient domain) first initial, last name @ rancourtshoes.com Isn't that right?

I like the color of caramel but it is a very casual color which is perfect for there intended use.

Thanks Gents. Turns out it is because the pics I sent are too large!

Kind of annoying that as soon as someone starts to know what they are talking about, they assign someone new to customer service.

I was wondering the same thing. Any thoughts on Navy shell for work settings? Maybe some pictures to share?

Got my Brown CXL beef roll loafers. Very comfortable. A bit of slippage in the right foot, but the left fits perfectly. I don’t think it’s worth swapping for the smaller size.
