First pair of Rancourts (have a 2nd pair - pics to follow in a few days). Green CXL. Nickel Eyelits. White vibram boot sole. White laces. They are unbelievably comfortable to walk in. Only problem is that there is just a tiny bit of heel slippage. I can tie them a little tighter though, so not really a big deal. No plans to wear them without socks. They really look great with jeans IMO. I have enough black and brown shoes, so I like that these are flashy. I went with the same size in my 2nd pair (navy CXL beefroll). The loafers are definitely a more narrow last. Much tighter fit, but kinda good because I know they will stretch well to my feet. I was initially planning on putting shoe trees in, but I don't think I am going to. I am afraid that the CXL is really so soft that they will stretch too much. I decided to keep the paper insert that they come with in the shoes, and then keep them in the dust bag. Got a couple questions for all you shoe people though: The length actually felt really good (in terms of where my toe hit), but if I wanted to eliminate the heel slippage on my next pair, would cutting the width down work? I bought an 8E, but if I went down to an 8 on the Ranger Moc would that eliminate the slippage? Is there any type of insert I can buy for them now (could I potentially add a lining to the shoe)? Lastly - on the the Rancourt website, it says that all lace shoes are on the same last - so I am assuming that is the boat shoes, but would it also include the camp mocs?
