The Harrison CXL is a very comfortable and durable casual boot. I got mine about two years ago they are still growing strong. I mostly wear them in Fall and Winter because I need to wear a full sock as the last is more generous than Rancourt's other offerings. Wear them well.
This is my first foray into Rancourt. I asked their customer service and gave all the other brands and sizes for reference and thei suggestion was 13E for this last. Still have to try them on so will see how the fir goes. Hopefully it will work out and I can then use it as a reference for 800 last Baxter Ranger Mocs at some point in the future.

First wear of the Harrison Boots in Natural CXL. The Reltex HL Rally sole is super comfortable. The fit is good at US13E as recommended by Rancourt Customer Service. This is going to get a lot of wear and will patina great over time.

I haven't posted in this thread in a while but I'm still enjoying the hell out of my various Rancourts. One version or another of their Ranger Moc is my go-to casual shoe most days.

That said, I bought my first pair of Rancourt, a pair of brown CXL camp moccasins, sometime in 2010 or 2011 and I've more than gotten my money's worth out of them. They held up to very long morning walks and survived countless trips into Lake Huron when I didn't bring my water shoes and needed something to help on the rocky parts of the beach. They've been re-soled 3x, including a complete refurbishing on the last one. Over the past few years they turned into primarily something to quickly slip on to take out the garbage or do some yardwork when I don't need an actual pair of boots or quick trips to the grocery store when I just need to get milk or fill up the Jeep with gas.

All that said, I noticed the leather finally coming apart in a few spots earlier this year and decided another refurbishing wasn't going to cut it so I decided to get a new pair. The OGs will still suffice for yardwork but are now officially retired from actually being on my feet when I go out in public.

I thought you all would enjoy a couple photos of old and new.

FWIW, I’ll be tossing the leather laces on the new pair in favor of the round rope style ones which I always find far superior.

Great comparison picture. Scary thing is that with some conditioner and cream and shoe trees, you could probably extend the life of the ancient pair even further. I also do like the cord laces you put on them. While I do like the idea of sending in the shoes for refurbishment, I just tend to buy a new pair when there is a good deal. I have a pretty good inventory of Rancourt shoes at this point, including some pairs I just keep in reserve.

There used to be a little cobbler shop in our downtown and I'd go in there to buy a few pair every once in a while. Sadly, the guy retired and sold his storefront. I just went to check in my drawer of odds and ends to see if I had any unused ones so I could see who made them but I do not. If you go on Amazon and search for "Miscly Round Boot Laces" they should show up and you can pick what length you need. There are probably 10,000 other options on Amazon for something similar.

11 yr old Rancourt Venetian loafers, ordered in Lewiston during our honeymoon, still going strong. I mostly use them to walk the kids to school.

I'm thinking of ordering pair of camp mocs from Rancourt to replace an old pair from LL Bean. But I don't like the horizontal seam on the heel that Rancourt's model has. Anyone know if Rancourt might mto a pair w/o that seam?

They call that horizontal seam a "kicker" (not sure why). They can do it with or without. I'm sure they'd do an MTO pair with smooth backstay if you'd like.

Anyone remember when orders from the last round of crowdfunding were supposed to be shipping? I'm eager to get my feet into my pair of camp mocs (so I can wear them around my house until spring).

I ordered a pair of Baxter Boots back in August with a shipping estimate of December 8th. They shipped December 9th.
