Really like the appearance of the green shell. Just not sure I would get much use out of green shoes.

I think it is actually pretty versatile because it is a casual shoe anyway. I will wear it with anything other than green trousers, I think. And I actually do have green trousers. :) To my eye, it goes with any brown, tan, or blue. But I do know what you mean. There are definitely shoes out there that I look at and wonder when I would wear them.

Agree. Thanks. Tempted to get something in the navy shell, just to see what that's like too...:embar:

Anybody have pics of broken in Rancourt #8 shell? I'm thinking of ordering a pair of ranger mocs.

Sure, this photo is from a few weeks ago. Shell is about 10 months old. I recommend the #8 shell.

I'd love to see the shell blakes in the wild. Something about the eyelets and laces have prevented me from falling in love with them. It seems like the laces are too thin and the eyelets too prominent.

I ordered the Blake in Chocolate Brown Shell Cordovan with black stitching on upper and tempest soles. I too am not crazy about the laces, I will be replacing them once I get the boots.
I cannot wait to see the finished product.

Frank, just wanted to say that your green shell rangers and your #8 beefrolls both look fantastic!
