My natural CXL Ranger Mocs:

These are actually about 6 or 7 years old and I wear them quite frequently in the fall and winter but they’ve held up amazingly with just a tiny bit of Venetian shoe cream and a horsehair brush. I have another pair in brown CXL that are a year older but look like I’ve been wearing them for 20 years. The main difference is that this pair is lined and the other pair is unlined. The unlined pair is soooo much more comfortable but the lined pair seems to be infinitely more durable. I should try to get a picture of the two side-by-side

Nice. I’m contemplating getting in on the pre-order for the Rancourt x American Trench ranger moc in natty CXL.

How does the John last compare to the 115?
I find the 115 to be good for width, and borderline to slightly short for me.

I don't have comparable sizes to compare, but the John last is more blobby to me and looks like it probably has more room widthwise in the toebox.

Fresh from my friends in Lewiston, Maine. Custom made Penny Pinch Loafers that was only dyed twice (vice standard of three) and with welted edges, rugby leather outsole, and the key heel.

Massive Horween Stampage right there... The tail end of the USA portion of the stamp... :)

Frankly, this picture is probably the best indicator of the actual color on these shoes...

Beauties Mike!
How do you find the fit of the Rancourt Pinch Pennys relative to other Alden or AE loafers? Do you suggest normal Brannock size? Or size or width down? Thanks 🙏

I have mine in 11.5EE and 11EE Van. There's way more vamp volume and heel slip in the Rancourts. I'm not sure if 11EE or 11.5E would be a better fit for me... Leaning towards 11.5E. You'll definitely be looking for tongue pads or inserts to eat up volume if you go TTS in my experience (despite what Rancourt says).

Yikes. I'm a B width. I can't width-down.

I have been getting 10Ds from Rancourt and typically wear a10C on the Van Last. One cool part of Rancourt is they will send you two pairs to try and sizes.

Hey, first time on this forum. I've been going back and forth trying to decide on whether to settle on the 1967 or Acacia chukkas from Rancourt. The 1967s are made from Heavyweight steerhide Chromepak, the Acacias from Horween Chromexcel. Does anyone know the dif between these two leathers? Or have a preference between the two styles?

I’ve got a pair of Acadias on order. It’s a great-looking design. I haven’t seen any on this thread yet.

My wife and I took our January-born mothers on a cruise and I swear I wasn't bored to tears which resulted in a ton of caramel shoe shots.

Espresso pinch pennies yesterday for an awesome 70 degree start to February:

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, as always!

Ha. Glad that you had a cruise full of shoe pic opportunities. Both your Penny Pinches and your Boats look just superb sir!
