I've got some Flint Kudu Suede Court Classic Highs, that I love. That vibrate sneaker sole they use is amazingly comfortable.

I'm sure I posted pics of them on here before, but dont know how to find them with the new forum platform SF switched to.

Shame they are discontinuing them. Hopefully their replacement isn't too different.

    Hey all,

Has any general consensus been reached among the Rancourt cognoscenti about whether or not to size down 1/2 for the CXL Ranger mocs?

    thanks

I could go with my Brannock or half size down, I just prefer a snugger fit so go with half size down. They are snug enough though that you can see the impression of my big toe on the upper.

Don't think I have any pics handy.

Edit: Found some of my Eastland Rangers, but not sure if these are CXL, but they are Horween:

You can see the impression of my big toe in these too.

both of my pairs are sized true to brannock size. I wouldn't want them smaller.

I think it mostly depends on socks.

With my suede rangers I went TTS and it was the right move.

I have a pair of CXL camps that I went down half a size that I go sockless. Was also the right move. Was tight at first, but stretched to fit. (CXL stretches more than most of the other available leathers)

If you are going to wear socks probably TTS is best. Just don't pull em too tight on the laces, or the quarters might stretch more closely together than desired.

I'm in for the pre-order of the Kingfield boots and went TTS, I really hope that was the right size decision. If winter keeps on coming(and we are to get 3-5 inches of snow this weekend) they may still be able to be used this year, if they arrive in the next 2-3 weeks :)

I think 9/10 times, TTS is typically the way to go with Rancourt, regardless of last.

Half size down. 800 last and CXL, which is technically a fuller fit than 114 last (Beefroll), so definitely yeah, size down 1/2 size. Works for me.

Rancourt for Timberland Boot Company Eastern Standard 2012 apron toe boots. The canvas part is actually leather lined on the inside.

I contacted Rancourt today and was told they could not help me. Too bad really......but was worth a try.
