Looking great!

I had considered the LHS in color 8, but I'd want unlined with antique edge and I don't think anyone does that currently do they?

Either way, great summer lineup.

Thanks!

I don't think Alden has ever done antique edge on the unlined lhs. I remember reading that the unlined lhs model is exclusive to brooks brothers. So, it would have to be a special Brooks shoe.

You can always do the sanding edge DIY job that others have done. In fact, I just applied some edge dressing to the pair above. The leather sole did look a little brown in parts. I will sometimes wear the aldens with casual suits so I like to keep the black edges. The rancourts with the light edges will work better with chinos and cotton pants.
I just had a pair of Alden for BB unlined no. 8 loafers resoled with antique soles & edges. I posted photos at the Alden thread. They make great summer loafers.

I knew I had recently seen those but couldn't remembered who posted them (and was too lazy to go look, haha). They are beautiful photos and if I was able to get ahold of a pair of them for a good deal, would definitely consider doing this.

Fransboone did a unlined color 8/antique loafer on leydon last recently. Most sizes are gone but it's probably one of the nicer loafers I've seen in a while. I'm keeping an eye on the restock on BB loafers in 11C and possiby grab them.

If I didn't just get the color 8 beefrolls id certainly pick up those. I really wish they had stock of the natural ones at that price.
A pair of natural ones just showed up in 10D. Not my size:brick:

I picked up a pair of Rancourt for Jack Spade the other day at the thrift store. I have a pair of CXL Gilman Camp Mocs in 10.5 and they fit great. These are the same size but quite tight; fit more like what I imagine a 10 would be. And the leather seems a heck of a lot more robust than CXL. I searched around for other Rancourt for JS and couldn't find anything similar. Anyone know what leather this might be? Looking to pass these along to someone who they might fit better and want to give as much info as I can.

Can anyone speak to the sizing of the Rancourt shell venetian loafer? If possible could you compare to the Alden 986 or the Alden for BB unlined shell loafer? Thank you.
