Next week.... Delay on production, will be shipped tmrw
Awesome! I'm leaning very strongly towards a suede Ivy loafer, but these beefrolls are making it tough to decide. Hmmmm, decisions . . .
Thanks! You are probably well aware of this, but the Ivy loafer does have some beef.
Ivy loafer looks pretty stylin to me.
Does somebody of you own the burgundy Ranger Mocs Rancourt did for Urban Daddy?
Quick question for those who went with a customized MTO and ordered through Kyle. Did you get an e-mail confirmation or a tracking number when your shoes were shipped, or did they just get delivered to you without notice? The original shipping estimate for my pair was more than a week ago and I haven't heard anything since I paid for them, so I'm starting to wonder if I should expect it to show up soon or just assume that my order's been affected by production delays, too.
I get a shipment email when it was shipped to me.
I've always gotten a shipment notice email with a tracking number. I a few days past the target ship date for a pair as well, so they must be running a little bit behind.
I seem to remember Leffot having these last year. Are you sure Rancourt did them? That navy color is so cool.
Im relatively certain rancourt makes all of the "made in maine" footwear that Leffot offers.
which is good to know if you want to avoid a pretty severe upcharge...(i know, i know, the cost of not having to wait two weeks for your MTO)
in other news:
via Rancourts instagram. one of the finest looking examples of snuff suede I've ever seen:
I know they carry Quoddy but some of the stuff they have made under their name has a totally different feel so that make sense. I'll give them a call and see if they happen have my size in that loafer in Navy.
I would love to see a chukka with this suede...
wow one of the best ranger moc i have seen.
Right, but I think any quoddy is sold as quoddy, whereas the rancourt is sold as the "leffot" brand...
fwiw, see if Leffot has what you're interested in and note the price. Then check with rancourt and see if you can get the same model sold to you directly. Will likely be considerably cheaper.
That is completely true. Kyle grew up with my business partner Mike in Maine, and he helped us put together a made-to-order shoe program for our store. The Rancourt family are third generation shoe makers and they do incredible stuff. For the price, it is easily the best handmade shoe on the market. Also, they offer a really wide selection of Horween leathers, which is a nice point of difference, especially when you are talking about boat shoes and moc-toe shoes.
I work pretty closely with Kyle and would be happy to answer any questions people might have about the brand.
Off topic, TS, saw your products highlighted on the Rancourt site and missed out on the nice looking natural denim you offered. I assume you've got a thread here at SF. I'll have to check it out to see if I can keep up to date.
