+ 1. That's a really attractive shade of blue. Those would be a real hit in Japan.

At the Hickoree's site, the following information about the Rancourt shoes pictured on the previous page is noted:

"Littleway" sole construction allows for full resoling, extending the life of the shoes.

Is this basically a standard feature? Or something unique to these shoes? I've heard that crepe soles can be difficult to resole. Anyone know if this "littleway" features makes it more feasible?

did anyone see the Crepe sole Beef Rolls that were on the Lands End Canvas site last week?
anyone know what happened to them?

just noticed that Leffot is offering the exact same thing for nearly $200 more.
wish I jumped on them when I saw them...

kinda...but LEC had the same thing as well, without a 2 week wait time.

The only problem is they've vanished from the site and the hapless CS agent I'm chatting with has no idea what I'm talking about.
can someone confirm that these were avail from LEC?

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills...

I think the LEC shoes were from Oak Street Bootmakers. I read on the OSB thread that the pricing on the LEC site was incorrect and the shoes were supposed to be excluded from the sale they had going on, so they probably got taken down temporarily.

    ah-ha, this helps explain it...
still the agent I chatted with just now said she had absolutely no record of LEC ever offering any type of brown penny loafer this season or next.

Interesting question about resoling with crepe. My guess, and it's only a guess, is that having a leather midsole allows you to resole the shoe.

Just got the ranger moc in 8 through 11.5 in the shop (though the 9.5 has since been bought)

for Maine by Maine is a beautiful thing, and the packaging of these is brilliant. free shoe horn, and the shoe bag on one shoe and other bag on top of the pile is really sophisticated.

retail is 245 - no markup for killing turnover time here.

What are the different sole options? Tempest, RLH, Crepe, am i missing anything? What do you guys think would be the most versatile on the ranger moc?

The leather midsole would seem to do it. This may be a question for Kyle.
