Sorry. Saw the photo up in the corner photo gallery and quoting them because they are so cool.

I have to admit I still look at your suede Blake pics at least once a week. So damn cool. My calico ones are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, and I'm happy to provide pictures if anyone is interested. Hell, I might just do it anyway.

Should have those on again soon and will post more photos.

Please do post some pictures of the calico suede, of course. The thread demands it. Feed the thread.

I recieved my Rancourt x Ralph Lauren ranger mocs from RL's recent sale ($100 shipped!) in orange calico suede. They are soooo nice. I wish I could wear D width loafers, but at least I can wear D width rangers, sort of, as they stretch...

Anyway, orange suede shoes for school pride. That's the way to go! Just need to get some black laces to round it out.

My natural CXL ranger mocs arrived today. Super pleased with the fit and the leather. My first pair of natural CXL - the mottling is so interesting. Haven't walked in them in yet outside, but the RLH ranger sole is much heftier and more solid than I had imagined, not at all like crepe. Thoughts?

Those look great. Interesting choice to go with a black midsole and black laces. That affords some contrast with the natty CXL.

Good to hear your thoughts on the ranger sole. Looks like a sturdy pair of shoes.

I have yet to get any natural CXL and am always so tempted. I have half a mind just to buy the RTW ranger mocs with the red boat sole. Those are really just my thing and then, bam, I'd have some natty CXL...

Would you mind posting some pictures? A buddy of mine picked up a couple pairs and found the clicking/finishing work to be really lacking. I've found the same for most Rancourt for RL shoes, although Rancourt's other lines tend to be much better

Had a chance to meet with the Rancourts (father at son) at Capsule and talk to them about the brand. Both are great guys, and they have some awesome new styles in the works. Stay tuned for more info!

Will do, though what do you mean by clicking?

Clicking is the selection of hides and leather to ensure similar colour, thickness, and quality leather on all parts of the hide

I just can't get into black shoes, but I have so many brown shoes - both casual and dress - that this was a subtle nod to the need to incorporate some black every once in a while. Plus, like you said, I was hoping the contrast would come out between the natural CXL and black midsole and it has. I just wonder now how dark the leather will eventually become. Let the patina begin! [IMG]
