That is interesting. I'd like to see where the style goes.

Not a fan of the bulbous toe and the sole stitching looks a bit iffy on that one at least.

I tried to get them through Rancourt in shell but they won't be available to be customized until at least August.

I'm assuming the sizing for these wingtips is like the Blake stitch boots. Anyone had any advice on this topic?

Those would look pretty nice in a navy or green shell...

Hopefully a longwing. Some double soled country derbies would be amazing.

My new boat shoes arrived yesterday and I am very pleased with them.

Unlined Tan Bulldog with a Navy CXL upper collar, antique brass eyelets and chestnut laces, and a honey colored sole.

I thought about going with all CXL leather or all bulldog leather (still using the two-color motif) but decided to stick with the different leathers because I am sort of interested in seeing how the two different types age/patina together.

I really like the bulldog leather - it is extremely soft and supple to the touch. I imagine that scratches will show up on it a bit more easily than they would on CXL, but that doesn't really bother me.

That is a very cool make-up right there. Pure class. It actually looks like something Ralph Lauren would have Rancourt make for them. I'd say that's a complement indeed!

These look great. I'd like to see how the two age together as well. Enjoy wearing and let us see what they look like in a bit.

Looking good. These are the remade ones to which you will apply your own, personalized scuff marks? :)

I like the tan bulldog theme here.

Thanks. They are a great style, aren't they? Glad the weather is warming up. They make a
    a go to pair.

I'd use their made to fit program - costs the same in the end, and allows you to try on more than one size.

My guess is 8 as I think you will be .5 down from AE 5 but width may change. I second the made to fit suggestion.

I just used made to fit to find my size and I found that it worked perfectly, so I'd add a third recommendation to doing that.

I didn't do it and I totally regret it.

I just received my ranger mocs and find that the right shoe fits only ok, but the left is off and clearly the wrong size by a half. I'm not sure if doing made to fit would have helped, but I certainly think that I should have taken the time to work this out BEFORE ordering. I was in a hurry to make a decision. Lesson learned.

Anyway, I might be putting my pair up for sale to recover some cost. And this time, I'm going to do it right before ordering again.

FYI, I wear a 8.5 in most AE lasts except for the 5, which is too long for me (especially that left shoe!). I guess that makes me a good candidate for an 8.

My chukkas are the same size but feel better, perhaps because they are less structured than the ranger moc, and also the chukka style may cover up the heel slippage that I'm feeling with the ranger mocs...
