I use photobucket to store all my in flagrante delicto photos.

as an online photo repository (like photobucket) or as a photo-tour site, like Tumblr?

I think picassa is better for sharing albums than photobucket (it is a google product so its not cluttered and full of extra crap like photobucket).

It doesn't quite have that meandering feel that a tumblog will give you, but its a huge PITA to go back and look at old stuff on tumblers...

Yeah, Photobucket is awful for sharing. Its great for hosting though. Why do you think its so horrible to backtrack on a tumblr?

Well I mean, you can't browse tumblr like a photo album....drop it back to thumbnail mode and flip back a few pages.

Tumblr is just very immediate. You can scroll through the archives, but the action is all in the recent posts. Would still work for your purposes, but I would personally rather use a site designed for photo albums like picasa or flickr over a tumblr
