If I'm a M in most brands. What size should I get in Ralph lauren? Med looks too baggy while Small looks a bit too short on the length. I'm looking for a slim fit.

I'm looking under the Polo Ralph Lauren line. I'm looking at fleece sweatshirts, long sleeve shirts and short sleeve polos.

I have one in the BS forum, and it's 18.5 straight across the shoulder.

Look for anything with a 'Custom Fit' tag on it.

I've never found size charts helpful- especially with knits. I almost always buy smaller than it indicates I should.

Classic fit is the traditional full cut that most department stores and Brooks Brothers have used. Custom fit is much trimmer - the golf shirts can be almost comically so.

I picked up a Small casual S shirt custom fit from RL Polo today and it has plenty of length for tucking in. I'm just shy of 5' 11". The Small could still be a bit slimmer though! I'm scrawny.

troll, no one talks like that unless they've been reading this forum for a while... plus you bumped a 4 month old thread -_-

I thought it would be better to bump this thread instead of creating a new one. Since it's about ralph lauren sizing too.
