I'm thinking about ordering a pair of RL shoes. I've been looking at a variety of models (both ankle boots and oxfords) and I will contemplate this purchase further. However, when I get ready to place an order, I need to make sure I get a pair that fits right. I read in a different thread that the Darlton model fits slightly larger than tagged. How about the RL shoe lineup in general? If I normally buy size 10.5D, should I stick to that size or should I go down or up half a size? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Also, if any of ya'll know of under-the-radar sellers online, I'd appreciate greatly such recommendations.

Well, I probably posted in that other thread years ago as well, but I think my 11D Darlton laceups fit a little smaller than true to size, and I have both calf and cordovan versions. I may feel this way because I am really an 11.25D/E, and Darltons are built like battleships and stretch very little if at all.

While I wear 10.5E 202 Edward Greens in perfect comfort, I don't have any RL purple label Ed Greens. I found the 11D a little too snug when I tried on the Grants.

Hope this helps.

It does. Thanks!
I'd still be interested in hearing other takes on this matter. Perhaps I should add that my feet are slightly narrow so with usually isn't a problem for size D shoes.
