ordered the corduroy blazer and grey vintage chino. Last night I should've completed checkout. Cricket sweater - I missed out again. There goes my new years resolution - not to spend any money in buying cloths or shoes. Rugby may bring few spring pieces before they close down. I have seen a cotton cream/navy stripe blazer on their Japan website which may pop up anytime now.

There were quite a few things on the JP site that never made it to the US site. So I wouldn't count on it completely

True. I was just hoping to grab few spring/summer blazer from rugby before they close down.
BTW how many blazers do you have ? Sorry for a personal question(not really…lol). I am getting this feeling that I currently have a few too many blazers. I need to justify buying more…..

Probably a stupid question, but is that chest measurement the p-2-p then? That seems super small.

    Thanks

on the fence with the Tartan Toggle Coat, anyone have experience with this piece? It looks great in the pics, is it something I can incorporate in my regular staple wardrobe, or is it just a flashy piece i only wear 2-3 times a season?

Also, what is the fit on this jacket? I have rugby pieces, and they fit slim, usually on par with custom fit PRL, however, I have never owned any outerwear pieces. Is it fit similar to the PRL Academy Pea coat? or slimmer? Did everyone remain TTS with the rugby outer wear?

I own/wear daily the toggle from FW10, which I'm sure is more or less the exact same fit/quality-wise. Hardware/trim looks similar from the pics. Definitely worth it at sub-200. Mine's solid navy, but the print is subdued enough that it should be suitable for everyday wear.

Fit, like all Rugby stuff is slim, but keep in mind that toggles are meant to be somewhat relaxed to accomodate layers underneath. For me, I went TTS and can accomodate a wool sweater underneath. I can not accomodate a suit underneath, though. No experience with the PRL peacoat, but I would imagine the Rugby toggle would fit you if you just went with the same size as your other Rugby pieces.

^ thank you for the information !

I am probably going to get a M since I am an S in all PRL things. I am just unsure of how bright the yellow is on the tartan print lol. I just hope it is not "too loud" to wear over a suit, or will conflict with my everyday staple items. 100% lambswool coat at that price is hard to resist and should be extremely warm , however, I am hoping it will look appropriate in business settings.

i havent received mine yet but it probably comes today or tomorrow. i tried on the navy toggle but liked the tartan print better. i dont know if it will be a staple but def isnt that hard to wear for sure

i take all of my rugby in the same size including outerwear with the exception of a hoodie and polo that either shrank in wash or was just off. you should be fine taking your normal rugby size

Would love to see a pic of the tartan when you get it in. On the fence about it, just think its too loud, but you are right, it can be done with the right outfit.

Took a closer look at the pictures on the site - I think it looks really good and can be pulled off as a daily for sure. Of course, the way you layer underneath will have to be similar in prep/uni style ... or you could not care and just do whatever you want haha! Would be a cool piece to have, but I already have a parka from Theory that does the job.

Just to add my own 0.02 to the Rugby outwear question - I have a thin trenchcoat from '10/'11 I think, XS. Fits pretty tight in the shoulders, since typically wear a small for Rugby. Can only basically wear a dress shirt underneath, good for workwear in the spring and fall. So yes, the outwear should follow the same slimmer cuts as the other pieces
