Just got some ties in today. Is it me or is the silk quality really shitty? Feels really rough and it seems like they used the absolute minimum of silk, even less than a J. Crew ties :butbut:

:foo:yeah rugby ties are terrible thats why i never buy. its crazy they are made in italy ... must be the slums

PRL ties are fine but for whatever reason they make the rugby ones really bad. must be for young schoolboy crowd

edit: although my friend loves their bow ties ... not for quality but for the edgy skull pattern

Yeah I got navy with pink skulls and black with white skulls mainly for design as well. But these are like a new level of shitty. :uhoh: Saw the Italy tag when examining the folds and just laughed out loud. Now gotta go to SF store to return since Stanford closed :censored:

Just finished reading from start to finish of this thread. So much informations on rugby. I wonder why this thread is not on MC forum. I am waiting for my first rugby purchase to arrive. I hope the quality is same as PRL. We don't have rugby here in Australia and rugby don't ship in Aus either. Had to signup for myus.com. Just to buy a Newbury blazer from rugby. Just wondering how do rugby ships their blazers ?Do they fold in half or one large flat box ? If anyone has a measurement of the box would be helpful .

went to the rugby store today and tried on the other sports coat, the chest and shoulder fits but the arm hole is a little too low....guess I have to go somewhere else to find my sports coat. maybe BB.

Have you tried on the 3B sack made in USA?

Probably the best rtw navy blazer is the Polo RL Polo II cut, or if you like a slimmer fit the Bleeker cut version (more common in EU where it's available with double vents)
I own two Bleeker sport coats and the fit is amazing.

Between BB and Polo, Polo with no doubt.

the store that I went to doesn't carry many suits. so I guess I will have to order them to find out my size in Rugby. they didn't even have the newbury jackets which is quite disappointing.

this is the one that I tried on at the store.
