Searched with no luck. This penny loafer is listed on the RLPL website. Says it's made in Italy so there goes the guess on EG or C&J. I know RLPL Italian-made shoes are sometimes made by a lesser-known company I can't remember. What's the quality like on these? I may be in a position to get 50% off new on a pair of RL (any brand) shoes and my collection is missing a pair of sleek calf-skin penny loafers at the moment since I sold my Vashhh. Any other RL penny loafer recommendations that fit the bill as well? Thanks!!

I believe it's Silvano Sassetti. I am also curious about people's experience with it.

I haven't heard many comments about them on this forum.

It's Silvano Sassetti. I have the derby versions of this particular range. Very well made - beautiful leather and craftsmanship but way overpriced. $750 in the sale isn't *too* bad IMO.

Malford - Are they on par with EG in your opinion?

Probably more on a par with C&J handgrade. I'm not *massively* keen on the burnishing / finish.

I'm a sucker for the understiching on these....

The understiching is badass I have to say.

I've also seen a gorgeous pair of PTBs in the Beverly Hills store for $2000+...have you or know anyone else that's seen that too?

I should take a picture next time.
