Nice- thanks! for that price, worth taking a shot on. Wonder why the black are more expensive than the brown?

Anyone actually own these?
I'd be interested in a pair at the AMZN price. . .

Does anyone think these are made by Alden?

I saw another thread where people commented on the low cut version being Alden. I know AE has a loafer plant in the NE and have heard murmurs of an independent shoe plant in Maine, anyone have any insight?

They look to me like shoes that should be worn with a cardigan while sitting in a rocking chair, and I don't mean that in a good way.

Like the ugly bastard child of a drunken one night stand between some chukkas and a pair of loafers, ugly.

I like chukkas and I like loafers, but I'm not even sure what to think about these.
