Thank you @sartorialism

Quick update: Received the coat and it is top-notch quality. Very, very warm with enough room to wear it over a suit (it's actually an overcoat).

How can you tell if a Ralph Lauren Purple Label Kent model is a Caruso or a Saint Andrews?

fwedo or anybody else who can share.

The neck-tag is purple and labels Made in Italy.

Yes probably Caruso. Neck tag usually doesn't lie.

I have both Kent "handmade" and Kent "not handmade".

To me -i am not specialist at all- it's quite hard to see the difference. However Kent "not handmade" have handmade collar, handmade shoulders and handmade buttonhole at the chest (SA told me that, confirmed by my seamstress).

To add to confusion, you also have recent (around 2019-from now) Gregory and Kent with the purple chest inner "hand tailored label" even if they are on the lower level of price (around 2200/2600 euros).

And older (around 2016-2017) St Andrews Kent (around 4000/4500 euros) have only the classic purple chest inner...

The one I have is from this season (2020). The price was $2,495 which I believe is the middle tier price of Purple Label for a sport jacket.

Who made RLPL trousers in 2013?

The trouser is from the madison line and is quite roomy for a size 32 inch waist. What super would these be?

From what i see from my own RLPL shirts, there is at least two main finishes :

- the sartorial finish : available RTW and MTM. They have split yoke, gusset reinforcement and offset armhole (sorry, don't know if it's the good translation for "emmanchure décalée" in french). they also have the "sartorial" label under the RLPL label.

- the sport finish (linen, plaid, and most casual shirts) have none of the upside spec. They are the most common RLPL shirts.

Both are made in Italy, probably by Lorenzini. They have a new supplier for "handmade MTM".
He is based in Napoly, but I don't own any handmade MTM shirts (yet). I have seen a "handmade MTM shirt" at a RLPL trunkshow 2 years ago and it was really really good with a very "handmade" feeling (sewing was beautiful).

- 2 years ago, they tried to sell made in Turkey shirts (similar to sport finish) but i think they have stopped this (at least in Europe)
