I've seen a few pairs of RL shoes on Sierra Trading Post - mostly loafers - sourced from Italy.

Are they, like the British RL shoes, from a fairly prestigious maker, or are they pretty average in terms of quality?

    Thanks.

It's funny that you should ask this today - I was just looking at them in the Polo store this morning. They aren't bad - somewhere between Bruno Magli and Ferragamo from my fairly cursory examination. Definitely not as nice as the Crockett & Jones-made models though. The styling is definitely not Italian.
