Anyone have experience with RL Home linen? Bedsheets and pillowcases and whatnot. Will need a couple of sets soon, and with the current F&F sale the entry level stuff (Lawton 400TC and Regent 600TC, specifically) seem like decent deals. Nothing fancy, just plain soft sheets. I've trawled through this subform reading threads about the Sferras and Frettes of the world, but they're somewhat out of budget. These are spot on though.

Kop or no?

I work for RL Home and what I find is that many people don't realize the difference of the lines. What is carried in Macy's and Bloomingdale's is not Ralph Lauren. It's Lauren by Ralph Lauren. The sheets that are carried in actual Ralph Lauren retail stores (like the mansion on 72nd and Madison) are generally very nice sheets ( I think I've recently heard they are going to be manufactured by Sferra) so you can be confident you are getting a nice set of sheets (Mostly made in Italy and France) Most people walk into a Macy's and Bloomingdale's and think they are getting "Ralph Lauren" sheets etc. Its ALL different. I love working for the company and love the products but I have to say, I wouldn't even consider buying these sheets. Yes, most are made from Supima cotton but everything is out of China and they don't even have a nice hand. 99% of the population have no idea about the difference of the product and its kind of sad. Doesnt anyone realize the price differences when they go into a RL store and a department store? There IS a reason. Its not the same product!

My mom has lived near an RL outlet for years and we've always gotten the RL (non-Lauren by RL) jobs when on sale (which is always) and they've always been good to us, and not paid much.

Lauren by Ralph Lauren sheets are junk. RL just licenses out that green label to anyone it seems. Can't comment on the real RL stuff.

I have a RL blanket thats white and red stripes with a blue pattern through out it. It's really nice actually. I don't know the what line its from, I got it at a garage sale in my neighborhood.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
