Hi!
I saw a gorgeous 100% linen navy RL crested blazer at a store in sweden where I live. Gold buttons with the RL crest and a large crest patch on the chest. It's made by corneliani. The price was about 1000 dollars, a bit juicy. I have tried to find the same blazer online but failed. Has anyone heard of this or similar blazers?

I personally would only wear a crest if it was my family crest or a school or soceity that I belonged to. Why would you wear someone elses crest simply as a brand name?

Crests are tacky. I hate them, but I did have to wear one daily from 7th grade till I graduated high school, so I may be biased.

Have a family crest made up and embroidered into a pacth, then place on the blazer.

There you go.

I occasionally wear my family tie, but that's as far as I'd go.

Anyone with a crest is not going to be impressed by another with one, and anyone without one will assume its just a gimmick. Pass on almost every occasion.

Why not buy a plain blazer then add a big crest of with the name of your yacht? That way you will look like the captain.

I have a great b&w photo of my Dad in the mid 1950s in civilian clothes but sporting a DB blazer with the RAF crest on the breast pocket.
Done right it looks great, unfortunately it's rarely done right.

No need to muck up a perfectly fine jacket with a crest.

Is your family name 'Lifshitz'?

RL should be paying me 1000 bucks for advertising their stuff with the RL crest patches and buttons. Almost as bad as the pony logo junk.

No one does either. Most royal bloodlines were founded by peasants/rogue warriors. If you currently don't have one, then make your own. In time, it'd be YOUR family crest. As for the jacket, a grown man wearing anything crested is lame as hell. My neighbor has his door cast ironed in his family's crest, which he made up. He's West Indian so his ancestors were most certainly plantation slaves.

I would just opt for one with a "big pony" on it of maybe an oversized gator.

Crests are better in theory than in practice. Leave them to the photos in the ads.
